Apple Introduces Intel MacBook

17 inch MacBook Pro

New 13" MacBook Delivers Performance Over Five Times Faster

Today, Apple finally unveiled the Intel-dual-based replacement to the venerable and popular iBook. Named the MacBook, Apple's newest laptop sports both a glossy white or a glossy black finish and a new, incredibly clear, 13" glossy widescreen display.

As with Apples other Intel-based systems, the MacBook features the Apple Remote and Apple's revolutionary Front Row multimedia management software so you can play your music, enjoy your photo slideshows, watch your DVDs, iMovies, music videos and television shows from across the room.

Specs for the latest MacBook Pro are impressive, including:

  • 1.83GHz or 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo processor
  • built-in iSight camera
  • Mini-DVI port
  • built-in 10/100/1000 BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet for high-speed networking
  • built-in AirPort Extreme 802.11g WiFi for fast 54 Mbps wireless networking
  • built-in Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate)
  • optional 8x double-layer SuperDrive
  • both analog and digital audio I/O
  • and of course the now-famous MagSafe Power Adapter
