Internet shopping powerhouse BizRate.com to change name to Shopzilla.com

Latter-Day Mac announced today that an agreement has been reached with BizRate.com/Shopzilla.com that will allow Latter-Day Mac to use Shopzilla's lowest price search technology to help Latter-Day Mac users get the best deals on LDS-related Mac-compatible computer equipment and software.

"Obviously we are thrilled to be able to offer this type of search technology to our users", said Rob Sabey, Latter-Day Mac President. "We hope that Shopzilla's technology will make Latter-Day Mac the first place LDS Mac-users will go for any Mac-related need."

BizRate is operated by Shopzilla.com a stand-alone operating unit owned by The E.W. Scripps Company (NYSE: SSP). Shopzilla is the most powerful and easiest to use shopping search site on the Web. With an index of approximately 30 million products from more than 60,000 stores, Shopzilla uses ShopRank, a proprietary patent-pending algorithm, to help shoppers instantly find virtually anything on sale from anyone, anywhere on the Web at the best price. Shopzilla also features powerful comparison tools and BizRate consumer reviews of stores and products, the Web's largest and most trusted consumer feedback network. Every week Shopzilla prepares millions of shoppers to make smarter, more confident purchases and sends them directly to the checkout page of thousands of online merchants. Shopzilla also operates the BizRate consumer feedback network which collects approximately 1 million fresh reviews per month. Shopzilla powers shopping search for many of the Web's largest consumer sites including AOL, Lycos, Time Warner's RoadRunner, and many others.

Long known as BizRate.com, Bizrate.com/Shopzilla.com is in the process of replacing the BizRate name with Shopzilla. "Shopzilla is the brand name we are mainly promoting now," explained James He, BizRate Affiliate Coordinator, "and it should be more appealing to potential shoppers than BizRate."
